News and Information Sources

Here are some of my favorite news and information sources I've found. These are the ones I scan daily, reading summaries or headlines. I hope this helps you make your decision in November.

Fact Checker - non-partisan project from the Annenberg Public Policy Institute

Capitol Hill Blue - started by a retired Washington DC reporter. Under the radar news from the Capitol.

Radical Reference - a volunteer group of reference libarians answer your questions for free

Daily Mislead - heavily partisan democrat daily newsletter but at least it's footnoted

Truthout - aggregator of news from other sources, also rather partisan

Mother Jones - investigative journalism magazine

Salon - not entirely partisan with frequent original reporting

BBC - the beeb from britain

The Guardian - daily london newspaper

And some radio sources

JeffExchange - daily morning show with excellent hour long interviews

Diane Riem Show - another daily show with great interviews

Le Show - great weekly humor and news show from the man with a thousand voices

Democracy Now - daily news program from new york that often scoops the mass media

And even on TV source (imagine that!)

The Daily Show - The best news program on TV
