Le Bush
Harry Shearer makes the point in his current "Le Blast"
"So now the United States administration says it wildly underestimated
the extent to which the Iraqi infrastructure was damaged by thirty
years of Saddam Hussein. Two points: no mention of the effect the
twelve years of sanctions had on the infrastructure (on the other hand,
the guy did use what money and resources he had to build some swell
palaces..); and two, if our intelligence was so bad it couldn't tell us
about the state of the plumbing and the electric grid, how good could
it be about chemical and biological weapons?"
I would continue by saying that the pentagon wants $87B "reconstruction money" on top of the $75B (cost of war) that they've spent destroying the place. So called "poor planning" kept these numbers secret from the public.
This is insane and it's time to throw the greedy bums out of Washington and the Pentagon.

Bush's Bake Sale
I hear pResident Bush has taken his bake sale international. With no surprise, tax payers at home don't want to buy his cookies. No one's interested in funding the reconstruction of Iraq when our family, state, and education budgets are in turmoil. No one wants to build a state of the art electrical network in Iraq when our domestic grid is being eyed by antique dealers. No one wants to pay for the mistakes of a rogue Pentagon which continues to act as a separate branch of government, immune to the checks and balances which throttles power and prevents corruption. Meanwhile, little of this is discussed on the news where we can turn the dial and choose between Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum, both reporting the same balderdash. How much air time has the Iraq War taken away from priority home issues?
Enough I say! Bush must be impeached before he drives our country into inescapable depression.
